Not sure why people who e-filed in May and June are still waiting their approvals while people in July are seeing approvals.
Folks, do you think it has anything to do with the priority date .Can people waiting post their PDs

July bulletin is OUT and NO more significant movement. Donot hope for future bulletin . Please call Lawmakers ASAP. Unless we take action USCIS is not going to do anything. Situation can be worse once we head towards election season. Still we have 1-2 months to get things done or we will be waiting for years to get green card OR EAD ( For some folks ).
It is just 10-15 minutes need to spend to call. Let them know WHO WE ARE AND WHAT ARE OUR ISSUES .
I request all of you to call , if you have called then ask your friends and family members to call.
Now its time to act. If we dont take action CHC will not allow to move ahead our 3 bills.
CALL NOW .... and Spread this message to everyone.

Can you please update your profile.
And you said "As some of you know...." . Were you trying in these lines before too. Can you direct me to any one of your forums more than 2 months old where we can see what you did before.
Trust me, in the past we knew of some guys who tried to distract the forum attention with proposals of doing somethings in the lines as you have said. Their goal is to distract and divert attention.
Not that we do not trust you, but we expect you have atleast your profile updated.
What do you do, when you come across someone who says I can get you a big job done for you, as I have contacts.. Not blindly trust, right.. We also check he his credentials. I am to some extent doing that, to be frank, not that everyone has profiles here with real information.
I told about you to my friends, and they asked me "Why do we trust him, dont you think he may be a Canadian who is trying to distract these innocent Indians and hence make sure they remain in backlogs"...
I think you and your friends become Paranoid... your each and every post is convincing me that. If you don’t trust anyone including the IV...why don’t you and your great friends lead the effort. It’s always easy to finger point, suspect and criticize others for whatever reason... Please don’t deviate from the original topic. I applied for 10 years passport extension ( old one issued from india) on March 05.2008 by Fedex. CGI Houston received it on March 06. Couldn't contact consulate employees as no one picks up the phone.
So went today to CGI Houston to check the status personally.
Checked with mail room and came to know that they had posted the passport yesterday. I received it in Fedex today. CGI mail room even provided me Fedex tracking number.
Old passport issued from : India
CGI received date: March-06-2008
Completed processing: April-12-2008
Fedexed the passport : April 16, 2008
Received new passport: April 17,2008
CGI Mail room keeps track of the passport status. They can lookup the applicant name and find the status.

Today my attorney said that if it hasnt moved for two visa bulletins in the fiscal year then he is almost sure (using 27 year experience in immigration) that it will not move much this year.

this year is "special". The July VB filings, the rush of approvals in teh last 2-3 months... lots of things have happened this year that have never happened in the past.

If you intend to join this company on an EAD, then this company will HAVE to do an AC21.
Without an AC21, you will be working illegally as you are working for a company without proper work authorization. Your EAD will at all times require a sponsoring employer. When you are no longer working for your sponsoring company, you are in violation of your EAD authorization.

The new company wants a copy of the following
1) Labor certification
2) I-140
The thing is I don't want the new employer to file AC-21 as it may back fire on my pending I-485 as we have seen in the cases in the past. with I-485 being denied etc.
Any one in same boat who was asked for labor as well as I-140 copy? How do I convince new employer that, AC-21 is not necessary to be filed?

I recently got my Indian passport renewed at CGI SFO. Everything went smoothly. Here's some info for other people's benefit. My old passport expires in Sep 2008.
I printed out the online application form and applied by mail. Enclosed the following
Application form
2 Passport photos (they returned one photo back with new passport)
Notarized copy of Drivers Lic
Notarized copy of EAD
Notarized copy of I 797
Copy of Masters Degree Cert for ECNR status.
Current passport + Photocopies of front and back page and current I-94/Visa.
Single money order for $60($40 Passport renewal fee + $20 fee for return by overnight courier).
Total Cost = $60 MO + $16 Fedex + $30 Notary = $106.
The Consulate received my application on June 16th and I received my new passport on July 1st. That's just 10 working days. I was impressed :cool:

I didn't think that EB3 ROW will be "Current" in June. What I meant was that Illusion's PD will be current because he is only 3 months away from May cut off dates.
